ABOUT US
BIG RIG Climbers was founded in 2020 in the midst of the Covid-19 lockdown.
The climbing scene has noticeably spread throughout Cape Town over the last couple years.
Our goals are to take the indoor climbing psyche to the outdoors, as we believe that outdoor bouldering is where the real challenge and excitement lies. Rocklands, what we and many others believe to be the best bouldering in the world is just a stones throw from Cape Town. With such an abundance of quality outdoor boulders accessible, it would be an injustice if any climbers were unable to experience them.
We aim to support local suppliers and create the highest quality gear that all climbers can afford.
With the BIG RIG pads and gear, the outdoor bouldering scene can be compared to indoor climbing from a safety perspective. This gives the climber the confidence to fully commit and thus, consistently climb at their peak.
